FAQ

What differentiates us from our competitors?

Everest Yak Chews stands apart from our competitors because we are one of the few producers that run a specialized cleaning facility. Before we ship any of our products, all our treats are thoroughly cleaned and inspected to ensure that only the cleanest and safest treats are sent for your pets consumption.

How long does the treat last?

The amount of time is takes for a dog to finish a treat depends on several factors such as the size of the pet and chewing habits. The hard texture of the cheese makes it a long lasting dog treat, keeping your pet occupied for hours, even days!

How many treats can a dog enjoy for a week?

Since Everest Yak Chews treats are extremely high in protein, in case of over consumption it may cause diarrhea, especially with older dogs. Please keep in mind that this is a treat and cannot be substituted for regular food. We recommend a treat or two per week.

How long can I store my product?

The shelf life of the treat is usually three years for any unopened Everest Yak Chews treat, in its original packaging, stored at room temperature. If you would like to save any open unfinished pieces for later consumption, please pat dry and store away from moisture. After prolonged contact with moisture, if you notice any changes in the color such as patches of grey or green, it might be a result of mould. Please discard of the treat immediately and start a fresh pack. Refrigerating is not recommended as this will result in moisture loss and will cause the chew to crack and become brittle.

What do I do with the smaller left over pieces?

Often smaller pieces are leftover from the treat after consumption. We recommend that pet owners can gather them and put it in a microwave for 30-40 seconds to create a new puffy treat. Make sure to let it cool first before giving them to your pet to enjoy!
